The Ranch Management Resource Initiative

We've teamed up with some of the best educators and consultants in grazing management, soil health, and ranch economics to help you get even more out of your operation.

These partners run proven programs, schools, and consultations, and now, as a Halter rancher, you can access them with partial funding from us.

Tools + knowledge

Because good grazing doesn’t teach itself

Halter changes how you move and manage cattle, but the real wins come when you pair that with solid grazing knowledge and strong business planning.

We've seen it firsthand: the ranchers who get the most out of Halter are the ones who keep learning and refining their approach.

That's why we're excited to launch the Ranch Management Resource Initiative, a way for Halter ranchers with 250 or more collared head to access top grazing schools and consultants, with Halter covering up to $2500 of the cost.

Two ways to get support

Go through a school

Programs like Ranching for Profit bring together ranchers for intensive, multi-day learning experiences.

You'll dive into proven grazing and business practices with educators who've worked with thousands of operations, and you'll leave with a toolkit of strategies plus a network of ranchers you can learn from long after the course ends.

  • Pick up proven grazing and business practices
  • Build relationships with ranchers like you
  • Leave with a game plan for your ranch

Work with a consultant

If you need someone to look at your specific operation and help you work through decisions, consultants like ImpactAg, Holistic Management International
(HMI), and SnapLands provide one-on-one support.

They'll analyze your land, your herd, your goals, and help you build a plan that makes sense for your ranch, not someone else's.

  • Personalized support for your ranch's needs
  • Address your specific land and herd challenges
  • Get a custom strategy that fits your operation

Why this matters for your ranch

Better grazing

New ways to rotate cattle, extend your grazing, and get more out of every acre of your ranch.

Healthier land

Soil health strategies that help you grow more grass and keep it producing year after year.

Smarter business decisions

Guidance on ranch economics so you can run the numbers with confidence and invest wisely.

Grow together

What you'll gain

The Ranch Management Resource Initiative is about connecting you with people who can help you do what you already do, just better. And making it more affordable to get there.

You'll learn from folks who know ranching inside and out, connect with other Halter ranchers working toward the same goals, and come away with ideas that keep paying off.

When ranchers learn together, everyone gets better.
